I believe that good design conveys a purpose and passion. My work is defined by researching and constructing a concept which evolves into a functional message. The goal is to entice and provoke an emotion to the audience. I am a creative, persistent and most importantly a curious designer, or whatever you would like to call it, from São Paulo Brazil, currently living in Miami Florida. Curiosity is the essence of human life.
Emerging from the modernist and constructivist ideals, the solutions to the problems I have created with my designs, can be defined as an authentic pursuit of simplicity – the beauty in the underlines of a purpose, not beauty as a purpose in itself. The principle “form follows function” became the inspiration and ideal I used in my research and throughout the entire design process.
As a consequence of this principle, most of the Swiss Style craft is devoted to the minimal elements of style, such as typography and content layout, rather than on textures and illustrations. In many aspects, these ideas touch on the core proposals of a simple design direction. The simplicity is about colors and geometry, not only as a form of exploring the potential of the fundamental elements, but as a pursuit of beauty and harmony, hinting at a more mystical belief in ‘ideal’ geometric forms.
